Mind-Expanding Sense of Wonder—The World is a Beautiful Place

Ah-Ha! Travel is expanding My Young Adult’s Mind!

We all know that Sense of Wonder we feel when we see something beautiful whether it is a loved one’s smile, a beautiful flower or a joyous laugh…it is unexplainable but it touches us.

I felt this indescribable feeling while traveling in Portugal with my husband & 19-year old son. We were visiting Belem Tower (pictured here) & my son of very few words and even less display of emotion remarks “it is like something out of a Fairy Tale or a movie…Hotel Transylvania!”

He had that Sense of Wonder that there is magic here on this earth! And that meant EVERYTHING to me! We all need more moments like these…the World is a Special Place…Stop and Notice. It is Everywhere

    Another Ah Ha & favorite Moment from travel for me was from the same young man while he was volunteering with Med Life in a clinical in Costa Rica teaching young children how to brush their teeth and about hygiene… he told us “they are so poor and under privileged, but they are so Happy, thankful and unstressed, I think it is because they don’t have devices/phones. They just play together and their families”. It was a humbling moment.
